19C English Staffordshire Transferware Large Centerpiece Console Bowl with Cherubs

This listing is for a large 19th century English Staffordshire transferware ceramic serving or center bowl. It measures 7 1/2 inches or 19 cm high and is 13 3/4 inches or 35 cm in diameter at the top rim. It has tall round foot and short stem which supports the large bowl.

The interior of the bowl and the foot have a blue and white floral design with scrolling arabesques and leaves. The outside of the bowl has a light brown and green transfer with three scenes of two cherubic figures seated on either side of an urn holding grapes. Around them are scrolling vines and clusters of grapes leaves.

The bowl is further enhanced with heavy applied gold highlights on the top rim, and on the foot. The condition is as follows; there is a small chip on the outside top rim of the bowl and there is a small 1 hair line that extends from it, there is toning on the inside of the bowl as well and wear to the gold on the top rim.
