For sale is a RARE! Large size 18th to early 19th century hand hewn wooden trencher/Serving Bowl/dough bowl with decorative handles. The surface has great aged patina. Worm holes are likely there before the trencher is made.
The interior of the trencher has age appropriate wear, certainly a heavily used antique piece, not a reproduction. The surface is dry, no odor, would be a great display item as a centerpiece on a large farm table. It measures 25" long including the handle (the handle is roughly 2" each), 10" wide, and a little over 5" deep. It is in great condition with no cracks or hairlines that I can find.
There are some old worm holes over the entire piece. Likely have occurred before the Trencher was hewn. Age appropriate wears and small surface scratches, chips, and imperfections are to be expected. Please check all Photos for detailed condition.
