Presented is an excellent antique English porcelain punchbowl or centerpiece bowl in the vibrant Queen Charlotte pattern, dating to around the 1760s-1780s. This lovely pattern features panels of floral decoration alternating in cobalt blue and iron red, with fine hand gilt detailing. The palette takes clear inspiration from the Japanese Imari palette which was very popular at the time, though giving it the name of George III's Queen is likely a little later than this bowl itself.
This piece is in excellent condition, particularly for its age. There is some minor wear to the gilt decoration, most notably in the center of the bowl. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The bowl measures about 12 inches in diameter and stands about 5 3/8 inches tall at the rim. Impressive c1770s English Queen Charlotte Imari Large Centerpiece Punch Bowl.
