Imperial Carnival Glass Aurora Jewels Everglades Footed Centerpiece Bowl IG. Presented for your consideration we are offering this, large, footed, centerpiece bowl, made in USA by the Imperial Glass Company, c 1958-64. Everglades pattern was introduced in by the Cambridge Glass Company in 1929 and continued until their closure in 1958, at which point Imperial Glass Company acquired the mold and continued limited production, as the enormous size of the mold made large runs economically unfeasible. This bold, three-footed glass centerpiece bowl is completely iridized both inside and out upon a base color of Aurora Jewels (Imperial's term for cobalt blue)the smooth interior disrupted by an upper rim of nine scalloped, lobed sections, beneath which the exterior is the intricate Everglades pattern, cartouches of tulips and other blossoming flowers in relief with a single blossoming flower on underside, sitting upon three iridized feet. Bowl is offered in very fine vintage condition, free of chips, cracks, or other damage, but with normal, factory imperfections including mold lines, swirls, a bit of a rough feel on inner surface several particles beneath iridized spray, one spot where iridized spray caused a concave droplet to form (last photo), with the only wear signs of being.

A few tiny fleabites at deepest part of bowl, all commensurate with the nature and age of vintage carnival glass and do not detract. Properly marked with stylized IG on interior base center. Measures 9 1/2" Top diameter x 4 1/2" High.
