Meissen Crossed Swords 11 Large Plate Bowl Centerpiece Gold Gild Floral

Called "white gold" because of its high price, rarity and desirability. Has been considered the finest by European aristocracy as well as decorative arts connoisseurs for 250 years. Since 1722-23, and to this day, the crossed-swords. Has always been a hand-painted blue under-glaze. Meissen bowl decorated with richly gilt leaves and small, multicolored flowers over a bright white porcelain ground.

It is marked on the underside with the underglaze blue Meissen crossed swords mark, incised number 130 and hand painted red number 50 and a red 2 with a squiggly and a 7. This is a gorgeous plate with lots of weight and in excellent condition.

Please note there is a small chip on the bottom where the plate sits, please see photo. Does not take away from the beauty of this spectacular piece.
